Ayesha al-Abbas was the daughter of Jid and Bibi al-Abbas, the human mother of Norse demigod Samirah al-Abbas and a one-time lover of Loki.

She worked as a doctor and had met Loki in the emergency room of the hospital she worked at after he used too much energy to create a physical form in Midgard. They eventually had a relationship and had a daughter together named Samirah, who Ayesha raised mostly alone.

When Ayesha died at Sam's young age, her parents Jid and Bibi took in Sam and raised her.

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard

The Sword of Summer

Ayesha is mentioned by Sam when she thinks Magnus Chase thinks she doesn't understand about grieving for a mother. Whilst dreaming after being temporarily killed in battle practice, Magnus encounters Loki and at one point, sees him lying in a hospital bed with Ayesha laying her hand gently on his forehead and her mouth tight with concern.

When trying to attract the sea goddess Ran, Sam tells Magnus about how her mother met Loki and that after she died, her grandparents took her in.

Physical Appearance

Ayesha is described by Magnus as looking like an older version of her daughter Samirah with dark hair escaping a scarlet headscarf.
