Calypso's Raft

Calypso's Raft in the graphic novel adaptation

Calypso's Raft is a raft that appears on the island of Ogygia to take away people who Calypso is in love with. It will take the user anywhere they wish and it returns after it completes the task.

History[]

In some myths, it is said that the raft was a blessing by Poseidon. This is probably based on the fact that the raft Calypso allowed Odysseus to build to leave her island.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians[]

The Battle of the Labyrinth[]

Calypso reluctantly gave this raft to Percy Jackson so that he could leave. Percy used the raft to arrive on the shores of Camp Half-Blood after staying on Ogygia for a two week period of recovery from the blast at Mount Saint Helens

The Heroes of Olympus[]

The House of Hades[]

The raft also appeared to Leo Valdez who had reached Ogygia after being blasted from the Argo II by Khione. The raft is referred to as a magical raft.

Rules[]

The only person not allowed to use the raft is Calypso as the gods assumed that she might use it to escape her island (or prison) of Ogygia. Calypso is able to get around this rule when Leo Valdez rescues her using Festus instead after the Second Giant War.
