Camp Half-Blood Confidential is a guide book about Camp Half-Blood by Rick Riordan. The book was released on May 2nd, 2017. [1]

In response to an awful camp orientation video created by the god Apollo, Percy Jackson and other residents of Camp Half-Blood answer such questions as “What is this place?” and “Do I get to keep the T-shirt?” Newbies can check out the section on the Divine Cabins, read up on Magical Landmarks, and consult the chapter of Training Arenas. But Camp Half-Blood Confidential explores much more than just the buildings and grounds. It includes info that can only be learned from those who live there.

For instance, campers do not always co-exist in peace and harmony. The camp is not run with superior efficiency. Prophecies do not flow forth with great regularity. Sprinkled throughout are stories from heroes who have called Camp Half-Blood home or just passed through on their way to places unknown. Chiron himself introduces the book with a brief history of training based on his millennia of experience. And, of course, there are divine words of wisdom from the god Apollo himself, because . . . well, because the demigod authors would prefer not to be struck down, thank you very much.

This entertaining guidebook to Camp Half-Blood is on-sale May 2nd, 2017.

Praise me, demigods!

I made you this helpful film.

Trust me. It's awesome.

-Haiku by Apollo introducing his orientation film: Welcome to Camp Half-Blood

First Paragraph from Movie Night by Percy Jackson

Hey, everybody. Percy Jackson here. You might know me as the guy who helped save the world from total destruction twice, but who's counting? I like to think of myself as just another Greek demigod lucky enough to have found Camp Half-Blood. If you can read this, then surprise! You're probably a demigod too. That's because only demigods and a few special mortals, like my mom and Rachel Elizabeth Dare can read what's actually written here. To everyone else, this book is called The Complete History of Pavement and it's about, well, that should be obvious. You can thank the Mist for that choice of topic. So, demigod, chances are you're making your way to camp with your satyr guide - Or maybe you've already arrived and are reading this with the hope that it'll calm your nerves. I'd say there's a fifty-fifty chance of that happening.

Apollo recites Rachel Elizabeth Dare a prophecy in this book to demonstrate how they're off as confusing.

Pinochle and Ping-Pong, ambrosia squares and nectar,
An attic with an Oracle, a disembodied leopard,
A centaur in a wheelchair, a wine dude, serving time,
This omphalus of Half-Blood will welcome offspring half-divine.

Unraveling of the Prophecy

  1. The first line refers to Pinochle and Ping-Pong being played in the Big House and it containing Ambrosia and Nectar.
  2. The second line refers to the original Oracle of Delphi when she was a corpse in the attic and Seymour the leopard head.
  3. The third line refers to Chiron and his wheelchair and Dionysus serving his punishment at Camp Half-Blood.
  4. The fourth line refers to how Camp Half-Blood trains demigods who have one godly parent.
