Chuck was born a little before the battle between Greek and Roman demigods broke out and just as his father, Gleeson Hedge, arrived at the Camp Half-Blood. The delivery was attended by Will Solace, son of Apollo. After the defeat of Gaea and her army of monsters, Coach Hedge wandered through the Dining Pavilion with Chuck in his arms as he showed everyone. The daughters of Aphrodite and Athena held him one by one, while Chuck shook his plump fists and kicked with his tiny hooves as he blew: "Beee!". Clarisse La Rue who had been named his godmother, followed the coach as if she were his bodyguard and from time to time she muttered that they should give the baby some space.

Chuck left with his parents to Los Angeles at the start of the fall.
The Burning Maze
Chuck is being held by his mother at Aeithales. He is given to his father when he returns.
He is being held by Piper McLean during a meeting to decide their next course of action.
After Apollo and Meg return he goes with his parents to Malibu. The next day he is with them on an airfield in Santa Monica before going with his parents and the McLeans to Oklahoma.

- Knowing of his father's love of action movies and violence, he is most likely named after the famous actor Chuck Norris.
- He is the youngest Satyr to appear in either series.
