“ | My work is here, he said, It's all I ever managed to save from the fire. Notes on projects I never started. Some of my favorite designs. I couldn't develop these over the last few millennia. I did not dare to reveal this to the mortal world. But perhaps you will find it interesting. | ” |
–-Daedalus to Annabeth Chase as he hands her his laptop in The Battle of the Labyrinth |
Daedalus' Laptop is a laptop formerly owned by Daedalus, (now owned by Annabeth Chase) and one of the few things that survived the fire in his workshop during the battle in The Battle of the Labyrinth. A large blue Delta (Greek ∆) is on the lid.

The Battle of the Labyrinth
Daedalus used his laptop to store all of his ideas, including blueprints and designs that he never had the chance to use. These plans included things like the video shield, designs for an automaton for a man, and Plan Twenty-Three, which was used by Percy and Annabeth during the Battle of Manhattan as an emergency detail. Before he died, he gave it to Annabeth Chase, a daughter of Athena, asking her to improve on his own ideas.
The Last Olympian
Annabeth used it during the Battle of Manhattan. The video shield of Annabeth was created with the help of Charles Beckendorf. It is assumed, though not confirmed, that Annabeth kept the laptop after the war and used the blueprints to rebuild Olympus.
The Heroes of Olympus
The Mark of Athena
Annabeth takes her laptop with her on the Prophecy of Seven quest. By this time, she has discovered how to make it change size, shrinking down to tablet or even cell phone size. She uses the laptop to create a scan of Frank Zhang's Chinese handcuffs, as well as producing an emergency credit card to buy herself and Percy lunch at an Italian cafe along the Tiber River.
Later, in Arachne's lair, Annabeth shows the spider the schematic of the Chinese handcuffs and tricks Arachne into weaving a giant pair, and subsequently becoming trapped inside the silk. After Arachne is trapped and the Argo II blasts through the ceiling, the room begins to crumble. Annabeth cannot find the laptop or her knife; she imagines the knife may have fallen into Tartarus, leading to the possibility that the laptop went down the same way. Since Annabeth and Percy fall into Tartarus themselves shortly after, it is not clear whether the laptop is irrevocably lost or will be retrieved.
