Morpheus, the god of dreams.

Demigods usually have dreams or visions that have a meaning. Morpheus is the Greek god of dreams.

Throughout the series, demigods often have dreams of importance, indicating a message from someone else, or what may happen in the future.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians[]

The Lightning Thief[]

Percy has several dreams of Kronos, trying to convince him to join the Titan army. Percy also had dreams of Thalia Grace, as well as one with a horse fighting an eagle, they represent Poseidon and Zeus respectively.

The Sea of Monsters[]

Percy has a dream of Grover in a wedding dress in a bridal shop, trying to run away, as he is coming. These dreams are revealed to be the result of an empathy link Grover created between them to communicate with Percy for help.

The Titan's Curse[]

Percy dreams Luke holding Annabeth captive in California, and tricks her into holding the sky, the former burden of Atlas.

The Battle of the Labyrinth[]

Percy dreams Daedalus and his son Icarus trapped in his workshop by King Minos. Icarus created wings to help himself escape, but did not listen to Daedalus' warning to not to go too far up in the air and he plunges to his death.

Percy soon afterwards dreams of Daedalus with his nephew Perdix. Daedalus kills Perdix by making him fall out the window. Athena sees this and punishes Daedalus by engraving a partridge into his skin.

The Last Olympian[]

Percy dreams of Maria di Angelo and Hades arguing about the safety of their children Bianca and Nico. Hades says that he should bring the kids to the Underworld, but Maria disagrees. Soon after, Maria is killed by Zeus' lightning bolt, and Hades immediately sends Nico and Bianca to the River Lethe then the Lotus Hotel and Casino.

Percy has another dream of Rachel Elizabeth Dare with her parents at the beach. She senses that New York is being attacked by monsters and persuades her parents to leave immediately.

The Lost Hero[]

Piper McLean dreams of the giants telling her to bring Jason Grace and Leo Valdez to Mount Diablo if she wants her father home safe. Lupa contacts Jason in his sleep to save the Wolf House. Hephaestus contacts Leo in his dreams but the transmission kept picking up Wheel of Fortune.

The Son of Neptune[]

Percy's dreams are the only thing keeping him connected to his past at Camp Half-Blood. Annabeth appears to Percy in one dream, marking her only appearance in The Son of Neptune. She warns Percy to stay where he is, because Tyson and Mrs. O'Leary are coming to find him. Percy must leave however, because of the quest.

The Mark of Athena[]

Percy's dreams about the Twins Giants, Otis and Ephialtes, and the located and imprisonment of Nico di Angelo in Rome. He also has dreams with Gaea telling him that she would destroy Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter once she has awoken, and that she would use him as her sacrifice along with Annabeth to reawaken her in August. Annabeth also has dreams of the Mark of Athena including about Arachne and the Statue.

The House of Hades[]

Leo dreams that the Romans invasion of Camp Half-Blood ends in heavy loss on both sides and the giant army telling him he can't win. Jason dreams of Rachel's meeting with the Romans.

The Blood of Olympus[]

Jason has nightmares about his mother.

The Trials of Apollo[]

The Hidden Oracle[]

Apollo has a dream of him flying the Sun Chariot as a bus, Rhea and Nero are with him.

The Dark Prophecy[]

Apollo keeps having dreams about his past with Commodus, including after the death of his father, Marcus Aurelius, and when he drowned him disguised as Narcissus.

After entering the the Bluespring Caverns, Apollo sees Leto trying to plead Zeus to bring him back to no avail. Then he sees Styx scolding him.

The Burning Maze[]

After escaping the Strixes in the Labyrinth, Apollo has dream of the Erythaean Sibyl captured in the Burning Maze as well as Caligula after Naevius Sutorius Macro killed Emperor Tiberius.

Before heading to Edgarton Day and Boarding School to meet up with Jason Grace, Apollo has a dream where Nero and Python talk about their bargain.

After returning to Aeithales with Herophile, Styx taunts Apollo and says no one close to him, like Jason and Crest, will be spared.

The Tyrant's Tomb[]

Hazel Levesque tells Apollo and Meg McCaffrey that she had a dream showing Jason’s death. Apollo dreams of Commodus and Caligula sailing north to the Bay Area and back to the early days of Rome when the Oracle of Cumae and Tarquin were technically alive.

The Tower of Nero[]

Apollo dreams of Nero threatening to burn the city if Apollo and Meg do not surrender within forty-eight hours. He also has a controlled dream of where the fasces is and what is guarding it.

The Sun and the Star: A Nico di Angelo Adventure[]

Nico di Angelo has a series of nightmares ranging from reliving the Battle of Manhattan to being in the bronze jar again. In the nightmares, he is constantly yelled at to listen and Percy Jackson, at the size of a Titan, tells Nico that "we made a mistake. You have to fix it." This is later revealed to be the work of Nyx who is trying to lure Nico into Tartarus to stay.

After Nico's successful quest, Hades arranges for a dream visit by himself, Maria and Bianca so that Nico can get some closure on the loss of his mother and sister. Hades also reveals that he was the one who arranged for Nico to go on the quest and expresses his pride in his son.

The Crown of Ptolemy[]

Annabeth is visited in a dream by Athena who warns of her of trouble on Governors Island.

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard[]

The Sword of Summer[]

Magnus Chase dreams numerous times when he dies or is unconscious and talks to Loki.

The Hammer of Thor[]

After being decapitated, Magnus dreams of two giants talking about Mjolnir and Blitz and Hearth talking to Mimir.

The Ship of the Dead[]

Magnus dreams numerous times of Loki on Naglfar as well as the death of Kvasir and Mr. Fierro kicking Alex out of the house.

He also dreams of Odin warning him that he will have to face a creature that just eats him.

Thomas Jefferson Jr. dreams of Garm chasing after Thor before it shifts to Hel telling him to come to Helheim or else she will have his mother tortured.

The Storm Runner[]

When Zane Obispo, his Uncle Hondo and Brooks first leave to find the hero twins, Zane fell asleep and had a dream. He was in a lush jungle with sharp trees made out of aluminum. His dog, Rosie, who was killed by a Demon Runner, appears and runs off. Zane runs after her, his short leg was same size as the other. Rosie turned into mist and disappeared, the trees reflected bad imitations of her. Wind caused the trees to make a screeching sound, the moon turned red and rain flooded the jungle. Zane rode a wave towards lightning strikes that burned the land, he felt his hands burning and yellow and red sparks jumped from his fingertips, heard Antonia Caballero tell him that he left her as a chicken.

After defeating Ixtab's demons at Yuma, Zane was pushing a grocery cart containing Ms. Cab heading towards the beast. Before the volcano erupts, Ms. Cab tells him to attack Ah-Puch in his blind spot.

Fury of the Dragon Goddess[]

Sikander Aziz has a dream in which he witnesses Tiamat first giving Lugal the Tablet of Destinies. At the end of the dream, Lugal addresses Sik, having apparently been aware of his presence the whole time.
