AlexsGarrottes

The garrote

The Enchanted Garrote Wire is the primary weapon of Alex Fierro.

History[]

Loki taught Alex an enchantment but Alex didn't trust it so she used it on a clay cutter, which to her surprise, worked.

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard[]

The Hammer of Thor[]

Alex successfully uses the garrote to kill Grimwolf the lindworm at Hotel Valhalla. A few minutes later, Alex decapitates Magnus Chase with the same weapon to prevent his head from exploding and causing critical damage to the hotel.

In Jotunheim, Alex casually demonstrates the power of her weapon by effortlessly cleaving a huge rock into two.

After Sif brings them to Asgard, she replaces Alex's garrote with a golden one woven from her hair to better match her disguise as a bride. This new garrote is identical in all but material and colour; it carries the same enchantments. At Bridal Veil Falls, Alex uses it in battle with Thrym.

The Ship of the Dead[]

Alex successfully uses the garrote against a Billow Maiden at Aegir's palace; against a wolf at the Chase Mansion; and against several giants and zombies on Naglfar.

9 from the Nine Worlds[]

I Play with Fire[]

When the child of Loki is spying on Surt and his recruitment for a new team of post-Ragnarok gods, the wire send out a distress call that Sumarbrander picks up.
