The Feast of Fortuna, also known as the Feast of Fortune, is the equivalent of the summer solstice at Camp Jupiter. It is held on the date of June 24th. This day determines whether or not Camp Jupiter will have good luck for the rest of the year or not. The feast is held for Fortuna, the Roman goddess of luck.
After Mars arrived on the battlefield of Camp Jupiter's war games, he gave Frank Zhang, Hazel Levesque, and Percy Jackson a quest to free the god Thanatos. However, the quest was to be completed by the Feast of Fortuna, or the camp would be destroyed by an advancing army of monsters, led by the Giant Polybotes.
On the date of the feast, Hazel, Frank, and Percy managed to make it to the Hubbard Glacier, defeat the giant Alcyoneus, and recapture the Legion's Eagle. They then race back to Camp Jupiter, where Percy manages to defeat Polybotes, while the campers and Amazons manage to repel his invading army. Percy is then raised as the camp's new Praetor, much to Octavian's annoyance. However, Octavian reads the will of the gods, and says that this year would bring good luck.
- The Argo II was supposed to land at Camp Jupiter on the summer solstice, but ended up landing on the feast day, in order to defeat Gaea.
- When Percy first heard about the feast, he thought it was "A feast for tuna."
