Hades' Palace is located in the Underworld and is the home of Hades, the God of the Underworld, and his wife Persephone, his Queen and Goddess of Springtime.
The enormous palace was modeled after Olympus, as Hades isn't welcomed there except on the Winter Solstice. It is made of glittering black obsidian, with a black marble portico, and the entry hall had a polished bronze floor. The palace is run by skeleton servants and guarded by the skeletons of dead soldiers from different wars that have been around the world, such as The Second World War.
In front of the palace is Persephone's Garden, which has been said to be one of the most beautiful gardens on Earth. A dark veranda overlooks the garden with a silver throne, a table, and a shadow fountain in the corner. A pair of thrones, one bone and one silver, sat on the balcony with a view of the Fields of Asphodel. A breakfast table with flower arrangements also sits on the balcony.
A person can only reach the palace if Hades wishes them to. If he doesn't, the person will just keep walking for eternity without ever reaching it.
Known Rooms[]
Entry Hall: In the film adaptation, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover walk through an entry hall when they enter Hades' Palace. It has stone walls and floors, a brass flaming fountain, large, wooden double doors with torches on either side, and two stone stairway entrances on either side with a red carpet in the middle.
Preciously Decorated Halls: As seen in Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, Hades' palace has several magnificent halls made entirely of pure gold and silver, decorated with bouquets of flowers made of precious metals and jewels, since Hades is also the God of Wealth, with access to all of metals and gems under the earth). The splendor of these chambers was enough to awe Persephone, who had never seen "such dazzling wealth" even on Olympus itself.

The Throne Room – Hades sits upon a huge black onyx throne decorated with many skulls, surrounded by many hellhounds and dead U.S. revolutionary soldiers, British Redcoats, Greek warriors, Roman Legionnaires, Modern U.S. soldiers, and Confederate soldiers (as security). It appears in Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes, The Lightning Thief, The Sword of Hades, and The Last Olympian.
Dungeon: The cells don't have any doors or windows and apparently no source of oxygen for living prisoners. Hades imprisons Percy Jackson here in The Last Olympian.
Sitting Room: In the film adaption, there is a sitting room with an ornate chair and a small side table next to it, a red guitar, and a stone fireplace.
Persephone's Chambers: In Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, Persephone is mentioned hiding Adonis from her husband in her chambers. In The Sword of Hades, Hades threatened to lock his wife in these chambers for disobeying him, though she continued to have a new sword made for Hades, even though he didn't approve its creation.
Nico's Room: Hades orders Nico di Angelo to go to his room in The Last Olympian. It is only mentioned, however.
Thalia Grace, Nico di Angelo, and Percy are summoned to the palace by Persephone to retrieve Hades' Sword which was stolen by Ethan Nakamura. They are first summoned to Persephone's Garden then they are brought to a veranda overlooking the garden. After retrieving the sword, the group return to the palace to return the sword to Hades and Persephone. Percy and Nico talk on a balcony overlooking the Fields of Asphodel where Nico reminds Percy of his idea to make Percy immortal by bathing in the River Styx. Percy promises to think about it. Thalia and Percy say goodbye to Nico, whom chooses to remain in the Underworld to advise Hades in the coming Titan War.
When Percy went to the Underworld with Nico to bathe in the River Styx, Nico revealed that he had tricked Percy to come with him, in order to get information from Hades about Nico's past and his mother. He hands Percy over to the Furies, who take Percy to Hades palace. Hades talks with him for awhile then sends him to the dungeon, a place below the palace. The dungeon is guarded by ghostly warriors and other dead beings. Percy is held there for a short time until Nico shows up to rescue him. They escape from the dungeon, and make their way to the River Styx so that Percy can bathe in it and gain the Curse of Achilles.
During their quest, Nico di Angelo and Will Solace do their best to avoid Hades' Palace as the two demigods believe that the god disapproves of their quest into Tartarus to rescue Bob. It's later revealed that Hades not only knew about it, but he had sent the demigods on the quest in the first place.
Percy Jackson and Grover Underwood make their way to Hades' Palace which, due to the upside-down nature of the Underworld, is depicted as growing out of the celling instead of the floor. It's also fairly close to the entrance to Tartarus.
When the demigod and the satyr arrive, the guards stand out of their way and the door opens, letting them inside, where a platform lifts Percy and Grover up to the throne room where Hades is waiting for them. The throne room takes up the entire upper floor of the palace with a small living room area being hidden behind the thrones. After realizing that the true culprit is actually Kronos, Percy and Grover use Poseidon's Pearls to return to the surface with Percy promising to recover the Helm of Darkness for the god of the dead in exchange for Hades releasing his mother afterwards.

When Percy Jackson compared Hades' palace to Olympus, he noted that the former was black and bronze, while everything in the latter glittered silver and white.
Demeter highly disapproves of Persephone living there with Hades because she claims there is not enough cereal for what she considers a proper breakfast.
