It's good to rehearse. It's best to rehearse in the set you'll be shooting in--that way you can figure out where to run cables, place puppeteers or cut holes in wall. We moved The Oracle from PERCY JACKSON 2 into the attic set while it was still being dressed and pre-lit. This puppet featured a direct linkage body/head movement, radio controlled brows and cheeks and a cable articulated jaw. Pretty simple but very effective!
