As many of you know {{character}} is out main template for use with characters. However, it uses lots of coding and if you ask me is fairly annoying. You have to copy that whole thing and mess with it. It's way too hard for new users and so on. I messed with some other templates and got this template. It's simpler and more organized and way more flexible. I think we should use that version rather than the one used currently. Thoughts? Avatar (Talk) 18:22, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

- It's simpler, yes, but most of the categories that pages have will be lost (as they are auto categorized by the template) We should find a way to work those in. –

- Also, to be clear, we can save this template as: {{Character infobox}}, so we won't have to replace everything at once. We have roughly a month, and by then, we can easily have replaced all of the major (and recurring) characters. And, of course {{character}} can be kept, for minor or PJO only characters (though they should all sooner or later be converted to this one). - We've still got the issue of the categorization, oh and btw the wikia categorizer thing is messing with the code on the page. Move it to the template namespace and it might be better. –alistic 02:53, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I tried to implement it on Zeus and Percy, it's telling me Percy's a god and Zeus is deceased. I think all the categories there are automatically added somehow...perhaps we should do [[:Category:<categoryname>]] instead? Balistic, what do you think is the problem?
