This is the page where formal requests for administratorship are recorded and archived. An explanation of what admin, or sysop, rights are can be found below the list of admins at Riordan Wiki:Administrators.

Requirements

There are no concrete requirements for a user to be an admin. However, admins will usually:

Have a very strong history of contributions (including the content namespace), though quality is more important than quantity
Be trusted by the community
Have no history of serious blocks due to vandalism or sockpuppetry
Have a high or above average level of technical knowledge in web development, notably in HTML5 and CSS3, Wikitext, and preferably JavaScript.

Procedures

Users must have 50 edits and be a regular contributor for a month to be able to vote or nominate.
Users who have been absent for extended periods of time (3 months or more) will be considered as "new users" for the purposes of RfA and must make 50 edits and be contributor for a further month before voting.
Users must have rollback rights to be nominated for administrator rights.

Stage 1: Nominating

Users may nominate themselves for administrator rights.
Users may not nominate each other (e.g. A can't nominate B and B nominate A in the same RfA)
There can be more than one request at a time. However, a user can't nominate more than one user at a time (e.g. A can't nominate B and C).

Stage 2: Voting

Users may vote in support, be neutral, or oppose the administrator rights nomination. Users must provide a reason behind their position.
Everyone's vote counts as one vote. Admins do not hold extra power.
The vote will last until there is enough feedback to decide.
Bureaucrats may close votes early at their discretion if the applicant is obviously unsuitable with no chance of succeeding. Voters may also request this if they believe the applicant has no chance of succeeding.
Once there is enough feedback, the active bureaucrat(s) will determine whether consensus has been reached. This means that admin requests require at least a two-thirds support rate to pass. Strength of argument is more important than the number of votes.

Oppose — I do not believe this user meets the current expectations in order to obtain adminship. She does not have the prerequisite requirement of being a rollback, does not edit the wiki at all, and is not a long-term member of the communtiy. Additionally, all of the wikis she has listed her adminship on are either inactive or owned and created by her. kai ϟ we don't need the memories. 04:20, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello Admins, My name is Andrewh7 and I think that I’m more than qualified to be an admin. I have over 11 thousand edits on this wiki alone. I edit on this wiki literally everyday, fixing many problems or issues that come up daily. I can’t speak for everyone, but I do think I have enough trust in this community to qualify to be an admin. I have no history of serious blocks such as vandalism or sockpuppetry. I’m also an admin on a couple other wikis and one or two on another account, so I know what it takes to be an admin.

Support — Although Andrewh7 has been careless on several occasions with deleting pages and files, I still think he would be a good choice for adminship. His edits are constructive to the wiki, and in my opinion, he would be a good addition to the admin team. My only complaint is that he can be rather harsh, even rude, when regarding other users on their talk pages. kai ϟ we don't need the memories. 04:20, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
