Stanley Tucci (born November 11, 1960) is an American actor, writer, film producer, and film director. He was born in Peekskill, New York. He has starred in various films, including The Devil Wears Prada, Robots, The Hunger Games trilogy, The Terminal, and The Lovely Bones. He has won two Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes. He has three children and a wife who died in 2009. He portrayed Mr. D. (Dionysus) in the film adaptation of The Sea of Monstersreplacing Luke Camilleri.

Biography[]

Stanley Tucci was born in Peekskill, New York, the son of Joan (née Tropiano) and Stanley Tucci, Sr. His sister, Christina Tucci, is also an actress, while his cousin, Joseph Tropiano, is a screenwriter and retired history teacher. Stanley grew up in Katonah, New York and went to John Jay High School.

Tucci began his filming debut starting in 1982 in Broadway.
