Hey guys,
I am excited to announce that Discussions is now enabled for your community!
You can check it out in the community app, if you have it, or in your browser! This "web" version also works well in your mobile device’s web browser, so if you’re on the go, you can still use the link above. Discussions is a great way to grow your community by bringing in users who so far only know about the app!
You can read more about how Discussions works on the help page. Admins and Discussions Moderators automatically have all of the moderation options. As you start to get participation from app users, keep an eye out for good moderator candidates. I can help you contact them as well (sometimes reaching out can be tough since they may not get talk notifications).
I encourage you to think about ways to promote wiki editing to the app & Discussions users. For example, you can post a link to a page for a current project every now and then, or to a page that welcomes new editors with tips on where to start editing. You can also foster high-quality conversations by posting questions and prompts, running polls/surveys, ask users to share their personal history with their favorite of the series, etc.
We’ve just completed work on a great new moderation tool - the ability for any user to report a post so it will be reviewed by a moderator or admin. This feature is available on the desktop and mobile web version already, and will be coming to the Community App in an update at the end of this month. Next week we will also be adding the option for mods and admins to "lock" threads and prevent further replies.
Thanks so much for being willing to be an early adopter on this feature. Please use this thread for any questions, ideas and feedback. We want to hear from you, and learn more about how you want to use this feature! We’ve got lots more work to do and I’ll be updating you as new additions come along.
