Have I lost my mind or not?

Okay I opened an account specifically for this question....
I believe this was in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I keep thinking there was a part in one of the books in which Percy, Thalia, and Grover are in a city at night and need a place to hide for a while so they go to this house and there are stuffed greek monsters sitting on the side walk and on the stairs. So they go inside and its like Thalia's old house and they meet Thalia's mom who has kind of lost her mind. And there are like burnt cookies and peanut butter sandwiches....Can any one tell me in which book that was in and if it was real or not? I can't figure out where I read it.... I keep thinking that Percy did meet Thalia's mom....I don't know maybe its …
