    New Rome

    October 9, 2011 by Jabberwokk

So by now most, if not all, who frequent this sight have probably finished "The Son Of Neptune" and knows what goes on in there. For those who havent, this will not be spoilerific, but it may have some things you havent heard about yet.

With the introduction of a city for Demigods and their decendants where they can live without the fear of monsters knocking on their door every other minute to be shikebobed or have shikebob themselves we see a possible future for our Heroes that, frankly, didnt seem to be possible before. New Rome is a place that, once time is done in camp, a Hero can retire... go to school...have a life after monster hunting. We saw in Percy's head the possibilities he invisioned for himself and Annabeth that he didnt r…

    Who we have seen

    September 2, 2011 by Jabberwokk

So like most of us (I think) I am keeping track of the conversations trying to figure out who is who's parent, especially with the fact that Rick Riordan said that Reyna has a parent who is a god we have yet to meet. So I ask you this: Who have we met? Who have we heard of (which technically could mean "met" for purposes of wordplay)? And to further the question, who do we know (of the goddly community up there on Olympus) that has had kids?

To start things off we know that Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephestus, Demeter, Apollo, Hermes, Athena, and Dionysus all have kids and we have met them.

We have met Persephone, Janus, Hera, Hestia, and (technically) Iris, Hecate, and Morpheus.

And we know that Hypnos and Nemesis have kids, ev…

So I like badges as much as the next person, one of the leading reasons for me getting the Xbox 360 was because of the achievement points that went along with stuff.

What I don't think is good, and don't appreciate, is that people seem to be editing things just for the sake of getting badges. This website, as I see it, is not just for getting badges. It is for us to satisfy our need of all things PJO until the next book in the series comes out, to share our thoughts and ideas with like minded individuals and to have a grand ol'time doing it. It is not to screw around and make people think you have something constructive to say, and have that turn out you just messed with things that should not be messed with just so you can get a badge t…

So I was sitting in my bio class today and suddenly had a strange idea: What if certain aspects of the gods that they pass on to their kids is attatched to genes. Now, first of all, all those who start yelling at their computer screens when they see this, stop. I know that the gods don't have genes, per se, but they do have to develop something like genes when it comes to making the children. No human alive has only 23 chromosomes. We all have 46, or 23 pairs.

Here is what I was thinking.

Based upon what we know, not all children of the gods have the same abilities (Case in point Leo vs other Hephaestus campers). We also have seen, through various methods, that all abilities of a Demigod exist from birth, they might not use it until the…
